Car Sickness

Some people get car sick when they are passengers because what they see doesn't match what their balance system feels. Car sickness symptoms may be amplified if you have a balance disorder and is greatly effected by where you are looking while a passenger. Riding in a car while reading or not looking out of a window causes the most discrepancy between what you feel and see and will make you the most nauseous. A poorly maintained road, a deficient stabilizer or an extremely smooth ride will amplify the discrepancy. Looking out the rear or side window is an improvement, but looking out the front window produces the least nausea if your not able to drive.
