More On Supplements

When I'm coming down with a cold, I can't take any Niacin/ Niacinamide because it (violently) removes histamine from my body. The body needs histamine to help fight the cold. Instead I take the following subset of my usual supplements to aid with my recovery.
Supplement
Dosage/ Day
Effect
Vitamin C 1000 mg (3 x) Removes toxins including: nitrates, nitrites, sulfites. Helps prevent colds. Aids the immune system.
Multi-Minerals 2 Capsules (3x) Provides mineral essentials including calcium at about 50 x the amount of a multivitamin.
Beta Carotene 11,000 I.U. (1x) For anticancer
Notes on Supplements:

Its best to use supplements that contain no: fillers, preservatives, corn, wheat, salt, sugar or soy derivatives and that are allergy free. The best brand is Purity First (Farmingdale, NY. mail order only). Solgar is also very good and is available in vitamin stores as is Norival from Cardiovascular Research Ltd. and NADH from Ecological Formulas.

Vitamins oxidize and loose their effectiveness fairly quickly. They can last anywhere from 6 to 9 months. Amino Acids can last up to 2 years. B-Complex should be refrigerated.

Take supplements 1 hour before or 1 hour after eating. Doses should be taken from 4 to 6 hours apart. A dose taken at bedtime may exceed the 4 to 6 hours, but the closer the better.

Note:
The supplements shown here were prescribed specifically for me based on my blood test results. You should consult a healthcare professional before considering taking any supplements.
